Spring 2024

In Art, we have been looking at work from Picasso during his ‘Rose Period’ and linking it with our work in Geography based on Volcanoes. We used warm colours for our final pieces and looked at the technique of another artist, Paul Klee to create our final piece.

Winter 2023

We spent the winter term exploring artwork during the Stone Age to link it to our History unit. We looked into the materials they would have used during the Stone Age and explored what it would have been like to be an artist then. When we completed our final pieces (cave paintings), we used natural materials instead of paint brushes and pencils. We also completed our art work on a wall so we could experience what it was like painting in a cave.
