Admissions in Year 3

St James’ is federated with Hatherley Infant School, however, children from other neighbouring schools are also very welcome.

Before starting in Year 3, there will be several chances to meet the teachers and visit the child’s future classroom. This will ensure all children feel happy and familiar with their surroundings before becoming part of the community. Children who currently attend our Infant Feeder Schools will participate in joint activities to make the transition as seamless as possible. Children who are not already familiar with our school and are registered to start in September will be invited with their parents to an informal meeting.

St James' Church of England Junior School follows Gloucestershire County Council's admissions policy, applications for a school place outside of the normal admissions timetable should be sent to the school in the first instance.
